Bryce Principe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, Sophia Muschiano was incredible, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-4. Olivia Zajdek was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Warwick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Toll Gate and Woonsocket, and Toll Gate kept the tradition alive. The Titans were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Villa Novans on Friday.
Delaney Wilson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Toll Gate got a big performance out of Reagan Motta, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Flora Meunier also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Toll Gate has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for West Warwick, their record is now 6-4.
West Warwick was able to grind out a solid win over Toll Gate in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 9-5. Will the Wizards repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
