Basketball Recap: Revere Extends Winning Streak to Three

Revere had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 64-60 W against the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-40 back in January.

Cuyahoga Falls lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Shannon Payne, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Payne is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Hayden Johnson was another key player, going 6 for 12 to rack up 13 points and four steals.

Revere's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cuyahoga Falls, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Revere will take on Tallmadge at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th. As for Cuyahoga Falls, they will face off against Aurora at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th.
