The Centennial Eagles will take on the Vero Beach Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Centennial is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Central as they made off with a 15-7 win. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Alfonso Hernandez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Kevin Rodriguez looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Yohalberth Romero, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Giovanni Lopez, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Vero Beach waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Titans.
Brandon Walker looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Jace Romans was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Morgan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Vero Beach, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-1.
Centennial suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Vero Beach when the teams last played back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
