Hauser put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the North Decatur Chargers 11-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-0 on Wednesday.
Stryker Gill was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Lukas Christian and Dillion Lambert did most of the damage at the plate: Christian went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Lambert went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Christian a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Blair, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Hauser kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Hauser pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for North Decatur, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
