Central will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Carnegie at 7:30 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Central, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They blew past Temple 44-18. Senior Braden Edens was the offensive standout of the match for Central, as he rushed for 75 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with 11 tackles Edens was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 14-64, which was the final score in Carnegie's tilt against Waurika last Friday.
Central's victory lifted them to 1-2 while Carnegie's loss dropped them down to 1-2. We'll find out if Central can add another positive mark to their record or if Carnegie can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Central's step.
