It was a good run, but Towns County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to the Franklin Panthers 65-59.

Franklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Brannon, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Brannon a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Max McClure, who went 9 of 18 en route to 23 points and six rebounds.

Towns County's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Towns County will be playing in front of their home fans against Rabun County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Franklin and Union County will round out the year against one another at at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
