Hinsdale Central waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Geneva Vikings with a sharp 4-0 win. Give Hinsdale Central's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

They hit Geneva with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Caitlin Doherty, Adriana Giannini, Avery Edgewater, and Charlotte Peterson.

Hinsdale Central now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Geneva, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hinsdale Central and Geneva will both be playing Sandburg the next time they take the pitch. The Red Devils will host the Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, while the Vikings will head out to face them at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
