Having just played yesterday, the Astronaut War Eagles will get right back to it and host the Odyssey Charter School Titans at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Astronaut has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
Astronaut suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-30 loss at the hands of Rockledge. Astronaut has struggled against Rockledge recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Odyssey Charter School took a serious blow against Pine on Friday, falling 51-14. While losing is never fun, Odyssey Charter School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while Pine is ranked 174th).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Odyssey Charter School struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Astronaut's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-13. As for Odyssey Charter School, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Astronaut was able to grind out a solid victory over Odyssey Charter School when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 35-27. Will Astronaut repeat their success, or does Odyssey Charter School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
