Meanwhile, Pearl River Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 44-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hattiesburg. While losing is never fun, Pearl River Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Hattiesburg is ranked 14th).
Jim Hill has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Pearl River Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
