Their tough 56-36 defeat to Goodpasture Christian might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Mount Juliet Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Cougars are ranked 51st).
Despite the defeat, Mount Juliet Christian Academy had strong showings from Greeir Goddard-hammond, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, and Christian Frewin, who scored 15 points.
Mount Juliet Christian Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Goodpasture Christian, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Nashville Christian the next time they take the court. Goodpasture Christian will host Nashville Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Mount Juliet Christian Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
