Ramona Convent is 9-1 against Bishop Conaty-Loretto since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Ramona Convent Tigers duke it out with Bishop Conaty-Loretto Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Ramona Convent's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Bishop Conaty-Loretto has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Saturday, Ramona Convent didn't have quite enough to beat Alhambra and fell 6-5.

Aiden Velazquez stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Chloe Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Velazquez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Ramona Convent kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. This was only their first loss (out of seven games) when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Bishop Conaty-Loretto came up short against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary on Thursday, falling 14-6.

Jaslyn Sigaran was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kaylah Araujo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Bishop Conaty-Loretto's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Ramona Convent, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Ramona Convent skirted past Bishop Conaty-Loretto 6-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Ramona Convent repeat their success, or does Bishop Conaty-Loretto has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
