The Tift County Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Thomas County Central by a score of 41-39. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tift County of the 44-29 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 6th.
Tift County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Corey Howard, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was TeShawn Bryant, who scored five points.
Tift County dropped their record down to 9-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Thomas County Central, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-10.
