On Wednesday, Ponderosa didn't have too much trouble with the Vikings on the road as they won 76-57. Given Ponderosa's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Vikings are ranked 742nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ponderosa had a senior duo take command as Keenan Patterson almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds and Marco Moorman scored 17 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Travis Bays, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, West Park gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 79-54 margin over Oakmont. Winning may never get old, but West Park sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
The victory got Ponderosa back to even at 12-12. As for West Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
