The Lawrence County Wildcats had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Cheatham County Central 48-6 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.
Lawrence County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tay Everly out in front who rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Bentley, who rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Lawrence County's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Cheatham County Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Lawrence County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cheatham County Central will head out on the road to face off against East Nashville Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Nashville Magnet is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
