The Western Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Tipton Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Western strolled past Northwestern with points to spare, taking the game 59-45.
Meanwhile, Tipton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They took down Frankton 54-40.
Among those leading the charge was Nolan Swan, who scored 23 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Grady Carpenter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Western's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Tipton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Western beat Tipton 56-48 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Does Western have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tipton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
