The Jemison Panthers and the Sylacauga Aggies squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Jemison Panthers had to settle for second. They were the victim of a rough 74-53 loss at the hands of the Aggies. Jemison has not had much luck with Sylacauga recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Sylacauga's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cj Franklin, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Jordan Roberson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Jemison has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Sylacauga, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 17-13 record this season.
Jemison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sylacauga, they will face off against Central of Clay County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Central of Clay County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
