Hoehne extended the longest winning streak in A-8 South - Southern (8 Man) this week by beating Fowler, 48-22. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
McClave took down Cripple Creek-Victor 55-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Hoehne's dynamic duo of Sawyer Schafer and Vince Valdez proved tough for the Grizzlies to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Schafer threw for 111 yards and one touchdown and Valdez had 67 yards receiving. Derrick Cordova helped Hoehne's passing attack out by catching two balls for 55 yards.
Jeremy Burke provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Fowler lost to Bob Schafer's team. He completed five passes for 46 yards and also ran for 198 yards. Burke's favorite target this week was Tate Hershey, who caught two passes for 34 yards.
The Farmers' Schafer and Cordova have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Schafer has thrown for 1096 yards this season, while Cordova, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 31 catches for 587 yards. Manzanola's Alan Peil leads the league in rushing yards with 1460.
Dakota Parker has rushed for 959 yards on 108 carries so far this year.
Swink led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on the Bobcats. Leo Rocha ran for 186 yards and caught one passes for 15 yards in the win.
