The Marietta Blue Devils on the road again on Friday and play against the Harrison Hoyas at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. One thing working in Marietta's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
Marietta pushed their score all the way to 55 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 79-55 loss at the hands of North Paulding. Marietta has not had much luck with North Paulding recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Kyann Senior put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Frances Storey was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Harrison suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Tuesday. They were beaten by North Paulding 67-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Harrison has scored all season.
Marietta's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
Marietta came out on top in a nail-biter against Harrison in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 54-51. Does Marietta have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harrison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
