Basketball Recap: Bigtyme Prep Academy Drops Season-High Score on Varsity Opponent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask BigTyme Prep Academy). They took their match on Saturday with ease, bagging a 75-15 win over Varsity Opponent. The victory was familiar territory for the Bears who have now won five contests in a row.

BigTyme Prep Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dailon Minor out in front who posted nine points and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Stewart, who went 6 of 8 en route to 12 points along with five assists and five boards.

Minor wasn't the only one working in the assists department: BigTyme Prep Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.

BigTyme Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

BigTyme Prep Academy and Legacy Christian Academy will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. BigTyme Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Legacy Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-54 defeat against Providence Christian Academy on the 21st.
