St. Vincent de Paul has gone 9-1 against Healdsburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Greyhounds at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in St. Vincent de Paul's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between St. Vincent de Paul and Elsie Allen, and St. Vincent de Paul kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs blew past the Lobos 16-2 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Makayla Bignardi made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, St. Vincent de Paul let Gracie Murphy and Reese Wilson run wild. Murphy scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Wilson scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Murphy a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Maddy Rynning, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
St. Vincent de Paul kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Healdsburg posted their closest win since March 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Piedmont 13-12.
Hannah Levine-Smith was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Osborn, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.
Healdsburg's record is now 8-5. As for St. Vincent de Paul, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. St. Vincent de Paul has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .505. However, it's not like Healdsburg struggles in that department as they've averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. Vincent de Paul came out on top in a nail-biter against Healdsburg in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
