Kat Ruffy was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Highland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Spackenkill by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday.
Highland's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Beacon, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-11.
