Wagener-Salley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Hunter-Kinard-Tyler get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The War Eagles haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Kylee Hooker made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Hooker was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Wagener-Salley got a massive performance out of Jordan Burkett, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Burkett a new career-high. M Jackson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Providence Athletic Club entered their tilt with Heathwood Hall Episcopal on Friday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Highlanders.
Like Wagener-Salley, Providence Athletic Club also got a great game from a two-way player: Atalie Gauntt. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Gauntt has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenslee Wessinger, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Otey, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Providence Athletic Club's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Wagener-Salley, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
