Greater Lowell Tech lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lowell Catholic, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Gryphons put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 10-2 win on Tuesday. The Gryphons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.
Amaya Flood was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Chelsey Quealy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lily Locapo, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
