The Burke Cougars just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Burke is hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses.
On Thursday, Burke lost to Boyd County on the road by a decisive 57-40 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Burke has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Tripp-Delmont/Armour had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over Centerville.
Burke's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Tripp-Delmont/Armour, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Burke ended up a good deal behind Tripp-Delmont/Armour in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, losing 46-32. Can Burke avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
