Softball Recap: Syracuse Has No Trouble Against Weber

Syracuse hadn't done well against Weber recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Titans blew past the Warriors 18-9. Considering the Titans have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Grace Thomas, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (three). Oaklee Derrickson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Syracuse hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 10-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Syracuse's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-11. As for Weber, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.

As of now, neither Syracuse nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
