The Mulberry Panthers will take on the Bartow Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mulberry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Mulberry will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Fort Meade, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Mulberry came out on top against Fort Meade by a score of 8-3 on Monday. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Miners on their field since March 5, 2021.

Justin Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Nic Partridge was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Bedenbaugh, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Partridge wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Mulberry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Meade only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Bartow came into Monday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Leon 9-8 on Monday.
The team relied heavily on Elijah Jenkins, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those runs were his first of the season. Christopher Glover was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Mulberry and bumps their season record up to 9-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bartow, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Mulberry came out on top in a nail-biter against Bartow when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 6-4. Does Mulberry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bartow turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
