The Eagle's Landing Eagles lost against the Union Grove Wolverines last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Eagle's Landing took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union Grove. While losing is never fun, Eagle's Landing can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Union Grove is ranked seventh).
Nadea Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Union Grove, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. Jordan Brooks was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Eagle's Landing now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Union Grove, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 25-1.
Eagle's Landing didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-55 win vs. Warner Robins on the 9th. Union Grove has also already played their next contest, a 40-36 win against Jones County on the 9th.
