Meanwhile, Florida State University High School got the win against Leon on Thursday by a conclusive 13-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Seminoles.
Shyla Wiley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Florida State University High School got a massive performance out of Lawton Hosey, who scored four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Richardson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
