The Edison Vikings had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Bear Creek 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Edison has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Terrell Tek, who scored 12 points along with three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kwazi Moses, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Edison pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Bear Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will take on Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for Bear Creek, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Chavez at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
