Tra Minter of Schley County ran for the longest rushing play in A Region 4 this season against Brookstone last week. Minter ran for 85 yards on the play and finished with 129 on the day as his team fell to the Cougars.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Marion County beat Dooly County 27-25. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Eagles.
Brookstone's dynamic duo of Jaqwon Roberts and Leye Olubowale proved to be unstoppable against Schley County, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Roberts threw for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns and Olubowale had 102 yards receiving. Kordell Braxton helped Brookstone's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 40 yards.
He went 17-35 with 0 interceptions.
Pacelli's Wyatt Peterson and Brian Foster have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Peterson has thrown for 901 yards this season, while Foster has 30 catches for 374 yards. Josh Kemp's team's Minter leads the league in rushing yards with 987.
Johnny Royal of the Marion County is just 91 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Royal has rushed for 909 yards on 154 carries so far this year.
At the moment, the Cougars are in fifth, while Mike Swaney's team is in first.
Hawkinsville took down Central 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
