The Whale Branch Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Branchville 80-46 on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Whale Branch as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whale Branch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bradford Thompson, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Thompson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Tony Broxton jr was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Branchville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Felder, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Kyran Glover, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
The win got Whale Branch back to even at 8-8. As for Branchville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bamberg-Ehrhardt the next time they take the court. Whale Branch will head out to face Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Branchville will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
