CHANDLER, Ariz. - the Huskies scored 28 points in the second quarter to secure a big 44-14 victory over Highland (Gilbert, Ariz.) on Saturday.
Hamilton scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown catch by
Elijah Williams, a defensive touchdown and a
Aj Thigpen touchdown pass to
Israel Simpson in the quarter.
The Chandler school was up 44-0 at the half after taking the lead on a safety in the first quarter.
With the win the Huskies extended their winning streak to nine games. Hamilton defeated the Aztecs 52-7 last week.
Williams was the top performer for the Huskies. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown.
The Hawks' James Brletic played well. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
Highland came in giving up 17.5 points per game this season. Led by
Cole Luke, Hamilton came into the game allowing 14.3 points per game. The Gilbert school's 14 points were well below its season average of 22.3 per game.
