For the second straight game, Davis will face off against Eisenhower. The Pirates will challenge the Cadets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Davis has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 18.
Davis managed to slip by Eisenhower the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 34-3 to the Cadets on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
For Eisenhower's part, Addie Sanislo was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sanislo was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in five of her seven plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Thalia Garza and Zabella Hickenbottom did most of the damage at the plate: Garza got on base in all six of her plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two stolen bases, while Hickenbottom got on base in all six of her plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. What's more, Garza posted five RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Pepper Gilman, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Eisenhower always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .804. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Eisenhower moved to 5-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Davis, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
