The Shamokin Area Indians will head out on the road to  take on  the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Shamokin Area is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last four games.

 Meanwhile,  after a string of six wins, Schuylkill Haven's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell  8-5 to Kutztown. Schuylkill Haven has not had much luck with Kutztown recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Schuylkill Haven saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Gracelyn Line, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 Shamokin Area's win was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Schuylkill Haven, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-3.
 Shamokin Area took their  victory against Schuylkill Haven  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  18-4.
