George Washington lost to Falcon 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Daniel Bush was a bright spot for the Patriots, as he threw for 23 yards in the defeat.
George Washington made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,915 from 13,013. The improvement was the result of 54-0 victory over Fred Harris Jr's team last week.
Montbello's dynamic duo of Alpoitier (A.J.) Thompson and Marquille Jones proved to be unstoppable against Thomas Jefferson, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Thompson threw for 165 yards and 4 touchdowns and Jones had 76 yards receiving. Gerardo Barraza helped Montbello's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 56 yards.
The Warriors' dynamic duo of Thompson and Jones proved tough for the Spartans to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
He was 12-16 with 0 interceptions.
Jordan Downing was the most successful running back in 4A Mountain this week. In 9 carries, he ran for 78 yards as Standley Lake beat Thomas Jefferson. Teammate Trey Muller added to the ground attack by rushing for 75 yards.
Jones was the best receiver in the league this week as John Trahan's team topped Jesus Escobedo's team.
Thompson put up the best numbers in passing as the Warriors beat the Spartans.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Montbello's Thompson and Jones have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Thompson has thrown for 660 yards this season, while Jones has 16 catches for 268 yards. Bryan Evans from the Patriots leads the league in rushing with 214 yards.
The Warriors led 4A Mountain in scoring this week by notching 43 points on Thomas Jefferson. Thompson ran for 15 yards during the win.
