The Lakewood Tigers won the last time they faced the Battle Mountain Huskies, and things went their way on Thursday too. Lakewood claimed a resounding 65-21 win over Battle Mountain on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-8.
Dyani Parrish continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 3 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lakewood's points. Another player making a difference was Tessa Sanders, who scored 14 points along with 7 assists.
The win got Lakewood back to even at 3-3. As for Battle Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Lakewood's road trip will continue as they head out to face Poudre at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Poudre is ranked 89th, while Lakewood is ranked 87th). Battle Mountain will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middle Park at 5:30 p.m. on December 18th.
