The Alta Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Bountiful Redhawks at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Alta sitting on three straight wins and Bountiful on four.
Alta took an 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Olympus, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hawks skirted past the Titans 6-4.

Danica Doyle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Addyson Brownell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Alta hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 12 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Bountiful was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They blew past Skyline 20-11. The Redhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by nine runs or more this season.
Dylan Carpenter was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Carpenter was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-6 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bountiful got a massive performance out of Alexa James, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two RBI, and one double. Those five runs gave James a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aspyn Danner, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Alta's record now sits at 9-12. As for Bountiful, their record is now 12-10.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Alta hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like Bountiful struggles in that department as they've averaged .359. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Alta suffered a grim 24-3 defeat to Bountiful in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
