York scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Greely, 24-21. At the time, the Rangers was ranked 18th in the state, while the Wildcats was 27th.
York was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Greely 24-21. Randy Small's team came in at 15 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Wells's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Gavin Snapp threw for 27 yards and Jacob Moody had 27 yards receiving. On the ground Dante Fanning chipped in 117 yards.
Joey Spinelli made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Warriors topped Spruce Mountain. The 5-foot-8 defensive back grabbed one interception.
Westbrook's Kyle Heath and Aaron Duncanson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading B Campbell in both passing and receiving yards. Heath has thrown for 90 yards this season, while Duncanson has three catches for 51 yards. Fanning from Wells leads the league in rushing with 468 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Tim Roche's team and Marshwood. The Warriors comes into the matchup ranked 14th in the state, while the Hawks ranks 12th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Wells takes on Marshwood. The Warriors have allowed 28 points this season, while Alax Rotsko's team has given up 37. Wells allowed 0 points last week as it bested the Phoenix.
The Hawks extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lake Region, 35-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for Marshwood.
