Even though the Aquinas Fightin' Irish have not done well against the Hephzibah Rebels recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Aquinas breezed by Hephzibah at home to the tune of 56-19. With Aquinas ahead 32-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Leading Aquinas to victory were Elle Morris and Anna Kate White. Morris scored 14 points, while White scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which White has scored at least 25% of Aquinas' points. Alex Loehlein was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hephzibah, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aquinas will take on Augusta Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Augusta Christian will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Hephzibah's road trip will continue as they head out to face Warren County at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Warren County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 36 back in November.
