When it comes to explaining why Irvington Preparatory Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Major Davis. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Davis scored a full 26.4% of Irvington Preparatory Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Gideon Ohuabunwa was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Leading Purdue Polytechnic to victory were Derrick Johnson and Antwan Dorsett. Johnson scored 16 points, while Dorsett scored 20 points. The matchup was Dorsett's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Tate, who scored 10 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Irvington Preparatory Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Purdue Polytechnic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Irvington Preparatory Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Indianapolis Washington at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Indianapolis Washington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Wednesday. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they will face off against Bethesda Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
