After a string of four wins, the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-41 to Flagstaff. Sunrise Mountain was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Flagstaff apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Sunrise Mountain saw an underclassman step up: Addison Wiemann dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Wiemann's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Savanna Dotray, who scored nine points.
Sunrise Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Flagstaff, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
