Westminster is 0-3 against the Golden Eagles since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Brooke Gomez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Alicia Trujillo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mountain Vista pushed their score all the way to 69 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Rock Canyon at home by a decisive 86-69 margin. Mountain Vista has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Westminster's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Mountain Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
