West Carter entered their tilt with Lewis County on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Lions. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the 18-3 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

West Carter pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lewis County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Carter will face off against Belfry at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewis County, they will challenge Rowan County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
