Central Connecticut III West recap November 19, 2013
Rocky Hill extended the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut III West this week by beating Rockville, 48-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Rocky Hill took down the Rams 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Andrew Jenkelunas threw for 55 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.
Owen Tyler was the best wideout in the league this week as Northwest Catholic fell to Platt. Tyler racked up 10 receptions for 105 yards. Chris McLaughlin helped Northwest Catholic's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 87 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Christian Flynn of the Indians is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,211. He has also thrown 20 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jordan Shakes. The Weaver star has 39 catches for 651 yards.
Norvel Stewart of the Bloomfield is just 81 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 89 carries Stewart has put up 919 yards this year.
Weaver and Tolland played the most contested game in the league this week, with Weaver eventually emerging with a 45-42 victory. Mark Jennings ran for 121 yards and caught 5 passes for 70 yards in the win.
