Basketball Recap: North Hills Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If North Hills Christian was riding high fresh off their 73-32 takedown of Covenant Classical on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arborbrook Christian Academy Falcons on Monday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, North Hills Christian still got an impressive performance from Maverick Ball, who dropped a double-double with 36 points and 16 rebounds. Ball also grabbed three steals, which is notable because the Eagles are 2-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 2-3 otherwise.

Arborbrook Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Case Van Wingerden, who went 7-for-9 en route to 18 points. Van Wingerden is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kyral Collins, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 16 points and eight boards.

North Hills Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Arborbrook Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Coming up, North Hills Christian will challenge Oak Ridge Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Hills Christian will be up against Oak Ridge Military Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Arborbrook Christian Academy, they will square off against South Charlotte at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Thunder have now posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
