The Ridgeview Christian Crusaders struggled with assists on Friday (the Grace Christian Warriors had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Ridgeview Christian was beaten by Grace Christian 64-34. Ridgeview Christian has not had much luck with Grace Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Walters, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Isaiah Painter was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Grace Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justin Hain, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Hain hasn't dropped below 20 points for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Davis Reid, who scored 17 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Ridgeview Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Grace Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Blue Ridge Christian the next time they take the court. Grace Christian will head out to face Blue Ridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Ridgeview Christian will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
