Volleyball Recap: Bishop Fenwick Victorious

It was a Battle of the Birds when Bishop Fenwick faced off against Notre Dame Academy on Saturday. The Falcons came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Bishop Fenwick easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-20.

Bishop Fenwick found their leader in sophomore Emerson Moser, who had four digs and three aces. Moser has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times she's played.

Bishop Fenwick was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Bishop Fenwick's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Notre Dame Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Looking ahead, Bishop Fenwick will be playing at home against Mercy McAuley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame Academy has already played their next match (against Mercy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
