Poinciana is 1-7 against Harmony since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. Poinciana is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Poinciana will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Gateway on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Angel Moreno made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Moreno was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Noah Perez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Johan Morales, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Harmony was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 13-2 to Windermere.
Harmony saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Bartlett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Harmony's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Poinciana, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Poinciana has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Harmony struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Poinciana might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Harmony in their previous matchup back in May of 2022. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
