Softball Recap: Lake Shore Has No Trouble Against Lamphere

While Lake Shore put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Lamphere. The Shorians were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Rams. The Shorians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Lake Shore got a massive performance out of Makayla Blumenschein, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Blumenschein has posted since back in April. Kendra Damm also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lake Shore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lake Shore pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Lamphere, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-12.

As of now, neither Lake Shore nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
