Thomas More Prep-Marian was the 2-0 winner over Oakley when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Monarchs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainsmen on Saturday. The Monarchs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Thomas More Prep-Marian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21.

Bria Windholz paced Thomas More Prep-Marian's offense, picking up ten kills. Windholz really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Oakley was led to victory by Mary Carman and Jocelyn Ritter. Carman had 12 digs, while Ritter had 11 assists and seven digs. That's the most digs Carman has posted over her last seven matchups.

Thomas More Prep-Marian's loss dropped their record down to 26-14. As for Oakley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 35-4.
